About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant reports to the Finance Manager and manages two Accounts staff. and supports the wider Accounts team. The team is responsible for managing the finance function and performing all key financial processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, working capital management, internal performance reporting and all external statutory reporting.
Primary responsibilities of the will include:
- Preparation of the cash-flow analysis.
- Financial, trend and variance analysis.
- Assist with maintaining accounts:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accruals/ prepayments
- P&L oversight
- Assist with VAT compliance – VAT3/ VIES and RTD.
- Assist with year-end audit work.
- Assist with preparation of annual financial statements.
- Assist with monthly management accounts.
- Assist with the annual budgeting process.
- Assist in the overall finance function.
- Assist with and take ownership of ad hoc reporting projects/ analysis.
- Law Society reporting and compliance with regulations.
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- 4 years PQE (ACA, ACCA or CPA). Big 4, Top 10 or industry background (audit or accounting)
- Knowledge of IFRS
- Previous exposure to the external/ internal audit process
- Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills
- Experience with Legal or another finance system would be an advantage
- Experience with a legal or professional service firm would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail is essential
- Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative
- Commercial awareness
- Strong people management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Works well under tight deadlines
- Strong team player
- Strong analytical/ problem solving skills
